We are perfectly located just off of Ruby Mine Road - right above the Cherokee Ruby and Sapphire Mine - in the heart of the beautiful and peaceful Historic District of Cowee Valley.
A true "rockhound" cabin, our yard and driveway areas are paved with washed ruby mine gravel hauled from the mine. Many nice gems have been collected from our private road and driveway areas. Please click on the picture for more information.
 
Cowee Valley Rustic Log Cabin Getaway

Private and remote, with a beautiful scenic mountain view. Our authentic log cabin is located a short walk from the Cherokee Mine. At almost 3000' elevation you are literally in the clouds. The cabin is fully furnished for your convenience, and offers air conditioning for warm climate months, and propane or wood-burning stove heat sources for those chilly months. The overhead loft is very popular with the kids. Washer and dryer conveniently located within the laundry room. If you are just interested in finding something neat, I would recommend one of the salted places. It takes less time and you'll find something, but won't be worth much. True rockhounds go to places like Cherokee to find only native gems and minerals.  Mark L - Herndon, VA
